Disappointing news … Battles and Japandroids are cancelling their upcoming Edmonton shows.
Battles, a group of experimental rockers from New York, were forced to scrap their entire Canadian tour “due to issues with the band’s visa,” according to tour promoter Union Events.
The band was supposed to perform Saturday, Oct. 1 at The Starlite Room. Refunds are available at point of purchase.
Japandroids, a noise-rock duo from Vancouver, are pulling the plug on their Thursday, Sept. 29 gig at Brixx Bar & Grill “due to circumstances beyond our control,” writes the gig’s promoter, JCL Productions, on Facebook. Refunds are available at point of purchase.
